Visible image Sunday

Morning all.

How are you guys doing? enjoying the bank holiday weekend ? My daughter has gone off to London and is having a great time apparently . Just what is a foam party anyway and why on earth after spending an hour straightening your hair would you want someone throwing foam in it and not be cross about it..... Oh no a big fat your getting old, just slapped me in the face lol ... ah well.

It's Visible Image Sunday yay and I am blogging all the goodies I have worked on this week for the launch of their new Limited edition Lone Ranger inspired stamps which are just amazing.
I have to say I had some Visible image stamps already in my stash so I new they were deep etched and really good quality but this week having used so many I am sooo happy to say a huge WOW to Mark and Helen, they stamp perfect every time and the image is always crisp and clear, well done you guys!.

Here is Clayton from His set , which includes a fab Bullet and bullet hole ,gun also and the piece of wood which can become anything like a fence, gate, arrow etc.

 Some close ups!
Here I melted some layers of UTEE and stamped into it to give me the sheriff's badge and bullet holes . I used alot of masking techniques too to get the fence and grass, bullets and Clayton in front of the fence.
He is coloured with Promarkers.
This is all the items in the set, great hey!

Next we have Silverheels .
I made an easel card for this and stamped silver heels and masked him off with a post it. then added the fire and tomahawk, birds too.
Again coloured with Promarkers and distress inks + some treasure gold wax to the edges.

This card features Tala.  I did more masking for the background to create the moon, clouds and smoke for the fire etc.
I drew the chain for the dream catcher but the dream catcher stamp is just fab isn't it and has so many uses.
Pretty Tala.
I used a stepper card here to feature all three sets and all the goodies each one has included. The fire. dream catcher and the bow and arrow is all amazing.
I oped the card flat here to show how to arrange it . The follow your dreams was again 3 layers of UTEE melted and the stamp was pushed in which molten this gives you the technique to create the metal sign.

Here's the guys all coloured in.

So let me know what you all think, I really enjoyed colouring them all in and adding all the little touches.
If you want to see what the rest of the team created for this launch pop over to the blog or the facebook page and scroll through , the guys have done some amazing cards and if your like me and need to get things finished if you start them, you will sit up until 5.30 a.m colouring away happily not knowing that the birds are going to start singing away very soon haha.. but it was definitely worth it as it all looks stunning.

On a personal note I received a gorgeous bunch of flowers and voucher form my buddy down the coast to say thank you for staying at hers and looking after her Kitty while she was away which I was more than happy to do as I got to see my son everyday while I was there too so I would like to say a huge Thank you to her and to give Jasper some love from me. Joanne I had a great time thanks honey xxx

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.

 Hi lovely blogland.

Today has been Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and the feature for this month is their new collection, The Christmas card collection.
They have taken a paper pack and popped in sooo many designs  for almost ready made Christmas  cards and all you have to do is add a little sparkle and a bit of flair, the rest is done for you.
I have already shown of a couple of the cards on the website so I will add them here

I love this collection. You can make it as technical as you want or simple like I did with this one.
Everything looks like it popping off the page but it is completely flat.
The paper collection really is a work of art and the blue is the perfect Icy blue, like frozen lakes for Ice Skating on.
So the paper pad has 76 card fronts already done for you, all you have to do is cut it all apart and add glitter or cut out with a die, I used a spellbinder distressed edge one here plus of course the gorgeous Heartfelt decorative blossom corner made by Spellbinders so of course only the best.

So how is your week going , has the craft mojo been all fired up ? or has it left for a mini break. Come on guys tell me how you get yours back after it flies the coup. I am lucky to work with all these amazing companies ,my imagination is fired as soon as I get such amazing products through the door.
So today I received my distrezz it all machine which should make life so much easier when I need to distress the paper and other substrates as it seems to take an age doing it one by one. I will let you know how I get on with it but so far so good, small  pink and cute for the desk  although it does sound like an electric saw while you get the blade running. (guess that's kinda the point lol but it is noisy , although I do not mind at all if it does the job, watch this space) next stop.. Bind it all.

Anyway have a wonderful day week ahead and i will be back in a couple of days with lots more inspiration for you all.
Crafty Hugs.

Craftwork Cards DT day

Hi all my lovely crafters.

It is my turn to post to Craftwork cards blog today and I have created a card and box using flowers hand cut and rolled just to show it is possible without a Die cutting machine ( I definitely would not be without mine but it is possible if you are on a budget).

I have used Craftwork Cards Bohemian Collection still available to Purchase or you can now download and print until your hearts content too. How modern haha.
I would like to be great at photography so I can really show case the sparkle in the paper and how pretty it all is but I am afraid my late hubby was the man for that job. I just Create Art .
This is a Anna Griffin butterfly already layered all I did was to glitter and bling him up. Pimped up my butterfly should I say  haha (probably not but I did ).
The bow is from the new paper die-cut bow pads that are doing amazingly well, I added lots of rows of Chantilly Olive candi to the top.

Of course the inside needs to match as its important for a stunning card to have a fabby inside too.

I also made a box so here it is.

Hand cut flowers some from unglittered paper some with glitter. I chose a vintage style lace for the bow and pearl rows for around the edge of the box instead of ribbon.
Crushed up turned Candi with small bling stones inside add a little interest around the flowers.
You can see that gorgeous glittered paper here.
And all the strung pearls too.

So I hope you are enjoying the blog today. I will be posting more frequently from now on so My day for Heartfelt Creations to coinside with their blog is Wednesday. For Craftwork Cards It is today and the 26th August and for my new team Visible Image I will be posting for them every Sunday. I also will be adding more projects to go forward to Making cards magazine so come on back and look around and be sure to leave me a comment as I always answer and is always exciting to see what other crafter's think too.
Lastly I want to say a huge welcome to my new folks joining the blog and to remind everyone that when I hit my first 100 followers I will do a little competition so I look forward to getting there.

Have a great Monday

Visible Image Butterlies.

Hi everyone

Well the eagle eyed among you will have noticed a few little changes well I say little but maybe not so much. I came to the end of my time with Memory maze DT term in OZ so I did my last little card for them which I will post this week but then things got a little busy.

I had wonderful news in that I was lucky enough to be chosen by Helen and Mark the owners of Visible Image stamps to be on the team along with another lady called Pauline and We had a wonderful welcome on the old Facebook with lots of lovelies wishing us good luck.

I then received my DT pack and want to thank them immensely for the huge bundle of goodies. Today is my first post and I will post every Sunday for them so definitely come and see all the goodies I will be making.

So without further ado this is today's offering which is a wall hanging. I used the Large butterfly , small butterfly and the butterfly verse all available over on their site. I also used the large tall Grasses stamp for interest in the background.

I also stamped around the edges to show the detail.

Here's a close up of the butterflies coloured with Sakura gel pens in the metallic inks.
For any of you that would like to do this here is a step by step for you.

  • Gesso the substrate you choose to use.
  • Add the colours you would like to show through the cracks in the top coat of Acrylic paint.
  • Add a layer of Crackle medium of your choice.
  • Paint over with your top coats and dry, watch the cracks appear.
  • Take some stencils and dab paint through, Dry. Move stencil slightly and dab a lighter colour over. I used this technique on the circles you can see. I used a word stencil too. Random is the word.
  • Stamp your butterflies around the edge and anywhere on the canvas you would like it to show.
  • stamp the wording on tissue paper and the grasses on tissue paper.
  • Add a clear glue medium to the place you want the title and grasses to go and stick on the tissue paper , add a layer of the medium over and leave to dry.
  • Colour everything you want coloured on the base and set aside.
  • Take some paper stamp the large stamp in Brown versafine ink or archival and the small butterfly X2 cut out in a rectangle and distress the edges. stamp all three images again , colour all and cut out mainly just the wing sections to add on top of the flat butterflies.
  • Make sure all is coloured and edges are inked etc to your colour pallet and raise up on foam pads on the base piece you previously set aside.
  • lastly add some gold wax of your choice to the edges and buff til shiney and a white pen to dot here and there always does something special with butterflies.
I hope you give this a go, the stamps are wonderfully deep etched and give an amazingly sharp image and I was extremely happy with how it turned out.

I hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying some crafting yourself. Don't forget to pop over and have a look at the website for Visible Image of come on to facebook and like the page to keep up with all the new releases etc. Don't forget to leave me a comment below and let me know what you think.

Heartfelt Dt Card + Christmas Launch Sneaky peak.

Hi All

Over on Heartfelt Creations blog today You can see lots of Inspiration from all the team including my creation for this week which I have added here from the Burst of splendor paper pad and the classic leaf die, some cuts with spellbinders and a simple spiral flower and gems and look how pretty and all because of the gorgeous and very sturdy paper collection.

I was flying around making a card, doing washing, posting DT items, tidying up and packing to come to the coast and see my son so this one isn't as detailed as my usual cards but still as pretty I think.
Turned slightly so you can see how I have cut out the flowers and decoupaged them to create dimension .
I cut out using the fabulous leaf die 2 sets of leaves and added that to the card and then made a flower by hand cutting a simple spiral from the gorgeous paper and then adding glue and dipping in iridescent glitter.
Here is a close up so you can see the spiral, so quick and easy to do and any scraps of paper left over no matter how small can be made into tiny versions of this and added to corners with other groupings of flowers etc. The paper is such amazing quality that it near enough holds its shape without any glue or fuss at all but of course I used a wet glue so it stayed permanently.

Next of course I gave you a sneak of some of the Christmas collection on the last blog post and today over at Heartfelt you will see a sneaky peak of the collection too. Here is the picture and what our lovely creative director had to say about it below.

I wanted to share some Pics of recent posts etc. So here is Last weeks card I made for Heartfelt Creations.
I just love the colours in this Months Burst of splendor collection and played them up with the matching ribbon and coloured the leafy frame to match. added lace which is always instant prettiness and even the matching dazzler on the bow works in with the theme.

Here is a close up of the Glitter I used on the flower which is a Martha Stewart one fire opal I believe.
Next I want to show you the 3 little projects I made for Craftwork cards , I just love their Time flies collection which is so totally up my street and I wanted a selection of different goodies so here we are.
