Die'sire samples and More news.

Helloo All..

Hope everyone has had a good start to their week?

I am still showing samples from the Die'sire team shows On this post so then we will be moving on to some other creations , I am finishing off another baby blanket and Have been honoured to make it to semi- final for the Heartfelt Creations team so I am working hard on that plus some commissions I need to finish before the end of next week when I leave my job for pastures new.

I would love to do some magazine work so this will be my next challenge I think to be accepted by some mags and work hard on that with them.
I am still dreaming of a job in this industry  and hope that one day this will come true... whats your dreams?
This was the first card I made for the Die'sire samples, it was an embossing folder from Craftwell who make the Ebosser die cutter which is really a fabulous piece of kit.
I also had this background to use from Craftwell and couldn't decide for the longest time how to make it stand out so I did some stamping with the owls and masked the branch before adding the owls so they perching. Some clouds used as a stopper to the easel card finished it nicely. Pretty  kiddy card I thought., what doesn't come over on this picture is the glorious sparkle throughout the moon and stars area , so pretty.

Here is a close up of the main flower  on the card photo'd below, I made them all with a quilling dye for Dahlia's. Die'sire.

This one looks wonky lol i promise it isn't lol its just way pic came out but I love the colours and I embossed the pattern from Embossilicious for Crafter's companion into the prettiest paper that already had a lace like pattern into it. Of course all the flowers are made using their quilling dies in matching paper from Kanban.

These ones aren't so stampy , vintage and grungy which is my favourite style all inky, or paint and clay etc but these I enjoyed making with the team too. And making a new Pal ( you know who you are lol) All of these samples were shown on Ideal world and Create and Craft on the 20/21st of this month and I had a blast making them.

Sooo now I have 2 Birthday cards and boxes to make and my 2 pieces for entering into the Heartfelt Creations DT ... Heartfelt have announced we are in the semi finals so wish me luck and why not peak at their blog.. it has a lot of inspiration on it always.

It's the Aly Paly show again in 2 weeks and I am looking forward to this sooooo much for several reasons, firstly my son and his lovely lady are coming home to go with me to the show( this would be unheard of if Sons girly wasn't crafty like mumma) lol  so I get to see them and go to the awesome Big stamp and scrapbook show at our own Alexandra Palace  and see my fabulous crafty pals from Craftwork Cards which is always a huge treat. Anyone thinking of coming along would have a great time I loved it when I went last year and of course got to meet the lovely Emma Williams from the Craftwork DT there too.

Ok back to work.

Have a great week , Back soon

More from Die'sire

Hey every one

Well I wonder If you caught any of the shows on Ideal world/Create and Craft, they sold out on the 4th show so there certainly wasn't alt to tune in to see later in the day.. I managed to catch the shows last night though and see a few of my cards and Leann showed my teal wall hanging this a.m at 8.
Which was lovely, I am glad she had some good shows and managed all the sell outs .

My favourite of her demo's on the show was when she went rogue lol and double embossed some roses with diff colours in a letter press technique.. very simple but so effective.

Heres my wall hanging.

This started one colour and ended up a totally different one lol , I primed a Daler board Canvas and covered it in a dark colour and dried , added some paperartsy (love love love) crackle glaze and then dried then a light colour and dried lol then...
that's when it happened.. my mind just went off on a tangent and I found my air dry clay.... squiggled it in an embossing folder from the shows today.. the fabulous 6x6 Lattice then stuck it onto my painted crackled canvas and painted it all over to match etc.
After sanding back I added Treasure gold wax to make the golden lights. I made the word from the clay moulds. I added the crochet , buttons leaves and then made lots of quilled flowers from the Die'sire range and added through out the centre. I then added 2 holes for the ribbon, threaded it twisted and voila.

I love this Indigo Blu stamp. I love poppies but Even more if they are coloured with distress inks and added utee over the top then they reach out and grab the proverbial attention so well.
As you can see , this is again one of the quilling dies from today's show.

Nextly I made this....
It was my little vintage treasure with a little book and scroll both made from left overs and with added Frantage embossing powders etc., Its al glimmery and shiny in real proper life lol but on this its just pretty.

I am really looking forward to the Aly Paly show next month and meeting up with my girls from Craftwork cards for our after show meet, hope lot's of the girls are able to come, would love to meet up with them all.
Also is anything else happening soon... hmm let me see after 12 years I have handed in my notice in and my last day at the hospital is April 5th. I must say it will be nice having the challenge of something completely different.
I have also to finish a baby blanket and 3 commissions plus more in the next week or so, yikes getting busy and I don't care.... I love it lol

Have a great evening?day folks back tomorrow with more from the shows..

Die'sire Sneaky peak DT pieces.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well. As you know I had the opportunity to become part of the Die'sire Design team and have been working hard to get the samples finished for next weeks show. I can now show you some sneaky peaks and say that the Fabulous Leann from Crafter's companion will be launching this lovely collection on Ideal world as the Pick of the day at 9pm and again 11pm on the 20th of March , then it will be through out the day on Ideal world and Create and craft.
Here is the first sneaky
This little box was made using the Perfect Paisley Embossing folder and also the Die'sire Camelia quilling flower it also has the Dahlia quilling flower and the Leaf 1 die on here too.
I added lots of lovely ribbon and a gorgeous sentiment to it and voila... My little box is complete.

The next item I would like to feature today is an Altered Art project which I am very happy with and  wanted to keep haha...

I love the techniques used in this Project with the acrylic paints and the crackle medium and the gold waxing.
All the flowers are again using the  gorgeous new Die'sire Die's all coming next week again here is the Camellia die in Large and Small and Dahlia die, I've used the Stamen die plus The Leaf 1 die.

If you would like to know how to do any of the techniques here leave me a comment and I Will do a tutorial blog, this post is really just to give you a sneak at the gorgeous products coming next week and hope you will support me by tuning in at some point on the 20th.

My last Item today is a card hope you like it.

I love the colours here. This 8X8 card features The gorgeous papers of Craftwork Cards but has of course the Die'sire Range featured throughout.
This time I have used The lace flower Die but I have also used the negative side to the Die (so where The Lace flower is cut from on the paper the other side )
I have also used the Dahlia quill die to cut the black ribbon flowers and the Leaf 1 Die to cut pink and green leaves that are also stamped.
Lots of embossing with a Sheena Douglas stamp also featured on The Crafter's companion website.
I will be back tomorrow with more creations using this brilliant collection , I was so very pleased to get them all posted today and I hope you look forward to seeing them all go live on the 20th
Ideal world and the 21st on Create and Craft through out the day .

Crafty hugs and Best wishes

Mothers day and lots of news...

Good evening everyone

How are we all doing? are we having a great Crafty time? good.

I have some news I managed to make it through hundreds of people and got onto the new Design team for Crafter's companion called Die'sire , it is all about embossing folders and dies for your machines. I will have the blinkie badge up soon so you will all see it proudly displayed with my other teams.

That's the fun part , the hard part is they need 15to 20 samples made by this Friday which gives me a week and I haven't received some of the embossing folders yet to do the extra stuff. hmm...
then,  day 1 of sample making my Grand Caliber which I love decides to let out a loud bang and I can hear something rattling inside it I got in touch with Crafter's companion who not only gave me a brilliant discount on a new machine but have arranged for it to be delivered Monday so i can at least carry on crafting as they say. I have gone for the Ebosser this time.

What do you all use?

Today is also my day to blog on the Craftwork cards blog feel free to go take a look at anytime but I am loading my items here too.

ooo I should wish everyone a lovely Mummy's day too and hope you were as spoiled as I have been , I was brought between my two fabulous kids a new digital camera so I can finally take decent pictures of my Artworks , how amazing is that and I have a beautiful card and my girl has something else for tomorrow too... lucky mum, what did you do for today?

Well after all that chatting I better show you a little some thing hey.. lol

It had to have a little Mothers day theme didn't it?
This was for Craftwork cards of course from their yummy Sweetpea range. Its standing on one of my cups as it is designed to hang from something I have another pic below.
This is hanging in the kitchen it is actually a triangle made from sticking 2 normal fold cards together making a small hole in the top and threading ribbon through. I made a small window box and added all the flowers which I think sets this little card off a treat.

I would like to say a nice little Thank you to Greta who regularly contributes to the comment section and lives all the way across the pond as it were but each time I have some good news she is always the first to send good wishes so Greta Thank you so much, I always appreciate every single comment from everyone and will always respond so feel free to chat to me anytime. I am also on facebook and twitter too and Craftwork cards and myself are on Pintrest too.

I would love to show you some of the samples I have been busy with this last couple of days but of course at present it has to be kept very quiet but as soon as we are given the go ahead then I will have lots to add.

I also spent some time making samples for the QVC show too this week and I had 3 that I could see on there but Julie from Craftwork didn't get to show many, the one she did show that I made was a Tunnel card from their new range which was lovely to make and since it was Valentine day I made it with a heart theme. Here it is below as it was on the show.
yay....  It was all printed out from their new Krafty cd , the papers you print out form it really look like Kraft card so its so easy to manipulate , unlike the card version which is lovely but sometimes totally too thick.

Right well it is now 1.30 a.m and I have 4 of the 15to 20 cards compete plus my Craftwork blog card finished. Hopefully I will get a lot more done tomorrow.

Have a lovely Day and I will be back soon.
Love and crafty Hugs

Tuesday, 5 March 2013

Hello all.

Wow, what a long couple of weeks with lots of good new things happening and changes are a foot....
that's how the saying goes I believe.
As you know I have been working hard to get into lots of yummy Design Teams and hoping it will lead to lots of other things like demoing and maybe getting cards out there in mags etc so I am excited to be on another few rungs up toward the goal.

As you know one of the fabulous companies I design for is Craftwork cards , well I went to Stamperama, a lovely crafty event that happens twice a year at Stevenage leisure centre 2 weeks ago and it was good fun, I spent a fortune but some of my fav craft companies were there including Sue and Julie from Craftwork , it was great to finally meet Sue and she said such lovely  things bout my work so I was a happy girl. But anyway (I digress) The lovely Julie ( who gives the best hugs) asked if I could make some samples up for her show on QVC coming soon  so of course I had to say yes lol ... tomorrow is the event on QVC and I am hoping the samples get lots of airtime haha. I mean the kits are so great they sell them self.
So I would love it if you could all have a peep and pop and see what they do show which would be amazing.
I also have some other DT news which is pretty amazing actually but I think I will save it til tomorrow haha.
I love forward to showing you my samples after tom.
Best wishes
