Creative Expressions Thursday.

Hi Folks

Another day on the Xmas card trail hehe ( I am really not a Xmas person now my kids are grown) but I know some of you still love the season to be jolly etc so here is Xmassy card number two.
Today's card is a nice easy one to follow along especially if you are making a lot of cards and want a design that can be quick ish to duplicate. You could easily do one card with each of the different sayings in the rhyme for instance and so there will be a pack of 12 Xmas cards straight away before moving on the extra paper in the pack.

I used the Christmas card paper pad from Creative Expressions and John Lockwood  called 12 days of Christmas to create this one which looks like this.

So here is how I put this one together.

I took a piece of white card and covered it with this paper as I liked this design the best in the pad.

I then took some of this red crinkle edge ribbon and wrapped it around the bottom.

I measured a mat and layer in ruby card stock and black for the backing and put them together.

I added some foam to the back of the first piece and added it to the mats just created.

On one of the paper sheets it has a number of strips all with the 12 days of Christmas words from the verse so I chose this one, " My true love gave to me.." and cut it out it,gave it a tiny red mat and added it to the left of the card.

I chose this design for the feature set at a jaunty angle on a thin black mat here too. I raised it up on foam too.

I added some stickles in an icy white colour very thinly just to the edge of the design and on the edges of the red Flowers as shown here.

I tied a double bow with the matching red ribbon and added it to the bottom right of the card with a black dazzler to cover the knot.
Lasty I added some black sparkles to the corners and a sparkly flower from my stash to the snow flake on the central piece.
Here is the completed card again and a coupe of angles.

 Here is the main image....

I love this ribbon... makes it sooooo pretty and what a red, May Arts is the company it comes from I believe.

Lastly a view of the words I chose for the side of the card..

Thank you for stopping by as always my friends and I look forward to showing you more goodies soon.
Have a great Thursday with I hope with no rain and stay blessed.

Huge hugs
