Have you all had a fab sunny weekend? I hope so. Doesn't it make you feel so much brighter when the sun has his hat on.
As you all know I haven't done and awful amount of crafting recently due to the op and last month I missed my Craftwork cards posting so I have made two little projects this month using their lovely Harbour Boulevard collection of papers, I didn't have any of the matching flowers etc so I used a punch and punched out lots of 6 petal flowers and inked the edges of them all and made lots of roses and rose buds and of course out come the hessian again, you all know how much I love it now haha.
Here is the box I made first.
The box is 5 and half square.
Close up of the tags and my flowers , although you can't see all the sparkly glitter all over them here.
Of course this is the inside. Could you all do me a huge favour and pop over to the Craftwork cards blog and leave me some love on my post there too as I haven't been on for a while I might have been forgotten ( thank you so much) Here is the link. Craftwork Cards blog.
I also made a little 5X7 card , I am really liking that size at the moment.
My camera washed out the gorgeous blue here a bit but I took quite a few and you get my drift with it anyway. haha The little tag says "destination".
I laid it down here so you can see some of the detail, like the right hand beach house that I raised up on foam, although again it didn't pick up the glitter along under all the beach huts.
This is the inside , For Craftwork cards I make full cards so I got to decorate the inside of this one lol.
Here's a money morning question, who buys stick pins to use in bows or on projects or who makes their own? do you like them etc , I have been busy making some and wondered who else does? and whether anyone would like to see them in giveaways? Just one of those thoughts.
Anyway don't forget to pop over to Craftwork and leave me a comment too if you have time and I will see you all very soon.
Big crafty hugs to all you lovely ladies
Kim

Hi Kim,
ReplyDeleteWhat a super card, it certainly conveys the "seaside" feeling.
Like June says, don't overdo it - I know the temptation to do so is there but resist.
Would certainly like to see pins in giveaways.......
Hugs, Rose
HI Rose
DeleteI Defnitely am trying not to over do it, I just want to be back to myself you know.Stick pins later in the week woo hoo.

These Craftwork Card designs with the seaside theme are lovely, and I love your take on it with the bird on the twine and the lovely flowers. The inside is gorgeous too. I love the look of the stick pins but unfortunately as the majority of my cards are posted to people I have to steer clear of anything to lumpy on a card which is irritating but postage is so expensive these days. x
ReplyDeleteHi Pat
DeleteNice to see you
I totalluy agree about postage, alot of the companies I make things for want all the items at the end of the month and sometimes that costs bewteen 10 and 20 pound and I think thats robbery really.. Well you will just have to have them to look at and not post then wont you hehe,
Thanks again
Kim xx

Great projects you have made Kim, I just left you a comment over on Craftwork Cards. I recently bought this paperpad but haven't had chance to use it yet so thanks for the inspiration. I've never used stick pins but would certainly give them a go at some time in the future.
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie
DeleteThank you for going to comment I appreciate that, Its a fab little paper pad thats for sure, so pretty in its mutted tones, I love how it could be so shabby chique with a little distressing.

Lovely card and box I've never used stick pins but would love to and would love to make my own but don't know where to start! For example what beads/size what glue without making it look "globby" ( I think I've made that word up! So I hope you know what I mean!) need a tutorial either by you or Sue
ReplyDeleteHi karen
DeleteGlobby lol your funny, it sounds like the sort of thing i do haha.
I will do a turorial on them if you like and the glues to use etc, Later this week if I can ,

Hiya Kim and all.
ReplyDeleteYep, your back, and full steam ahead by the looks at things. Im now up to speed, and this card is clean and fresh looking. Its really sweet Kim. With holidays for some just round the corner, this selection is spot on. Its been great to see you home again after so long away, but as usual you have been worth the wait.
Id love to have stick pins attatched to my extra special cards, but with my fingers.I know they would be too fiddley for me and cause more frustration for me than pleasure ! But Im sad I cant make and use them, but I do look forward to seeing what Sue has made up for her cards.
Ok, hubby needs feeding. So I'll wish you a happy relaxing Wednesday evening and look forward to seeing your next card.
Hugs to you Kimmie and to all Kimettes.
