Visible Image Wednesday

Hi Folks

Wow I have sunshine streaming in my window ... Is it spring.. yayyyy.
How are you all doing? Have you made anything lately? I would love to know what projects your all working on?
Today of course is Visible Image day and I have a little a pretty little card using some gorgeous stamps and I wanted to show that you don't need huge stamps to create something special.. going along with the theme of using a backing stamp in a different way really.
Anyway I hope you like it so here it is.

Its a little different for me but I love it, I wanted to go with the clean and simple theme but with my own little twist of course.

I started with an off white piece of card and Using my Retro dots background with black ink around the edges in a random pattern and heat set it.
I then took some fired brick distress ink and used My Bronte Script stamp in the same random way.
I used the same ink to add some colour to the very edge of the card so we had no white edges and it helped to blend the patterns a little. I then gave it a couple of mats and layers in black and white card and made a mat for the very back and put them together with a layer of foam in between.

This is what it looked like without the mats and layers.

I then took my sentiment stamp From The sunshine set of stamps recently launched not too long ago and stamped in black on the same off white card and edged it lightly in Fired brick and gave it a black mat which I added faux sparkly stitching to with a gelly pen. I also coloured in the little heart with the sparkles.

I added foam to the back of the sentiment and added it to the card. I then took a few flowers and coloured them from white to red and made up a couple of little bunches and twisted some wire into curls too and added it to opposite corners off the sentiment.

Lastly I added a little highlight in some of the dots with that same sparkle pen and took some black sparkly gems and added them to the odd few dots and the corners for texture interest but I loved how it looked in the end as the stones were very black and sparkly.
And here again is the finished image...

Here are the stamps I used on this one.

                                    Bronte Script                                          Sunshine

I hope you like this one and it shows again that you do not need  to always have a huge focal piece to create something elegant and pretty you can look at what you have and see what works , you don't need to use the entire stamp, look at corners and edges and see what you can do my lovlies.

Have a lovely Wednesday and I hope the sun is shining for you where you are too.

Huge hugs
Love

  3. This is a really great card Kim and these background stamps are so useful for masculine or feminine cards, and show that together with a few added embellishments, a sentiment and some ink you can make a beautiful card. Hope you have a good Easter weekend. x
