Hope you are all well. Its Thursday so that can only mean Creative Expressions yayy..
I have been creating a little scene using our lovely DT stamps for June. They are really cool stamps and remind me of when my kids were little.
See what you think?
These stamps are so useful I really did enjoy using them.
I used one of the Grand sentiments as I thought it went really well.
Here is a close up on the picture.
I stamped out the singles stamps called 'I spy' and 'Beauty and the beach' to start then I took the 'beach flora' and stamped it took look like a little mound in the sane for my little lady to stand on. I used 'Marina bay' for her to point at (seagull) .
I ripped some paper to help me create the sky , sea and sandy Hills.
I used a combination of inks to help me get depth into the colours here, Distress and adirondak
I also used a water brush to help me pull the inks out and blend etc.
Don't forget the white pen girls for the highlights.
The Bow is tied with champagne coloured crinkle edge ribbon and I used one of the little straw hats for the knot cover and added a ribbon and flower to it to pretty it up a little.
This view shows the layers better and the highlights I think.
So what do you think blogglies?
Would you like to create this one? give it a go.
Thanks to everyone leaving comments as always and I will be back with more to show you very soon. Don't forget there is always the creative expressions blog to visit too and you can keep up with news and competitions etc that way aswell.
Have a great day ladies and gents.
Hugs

Evening Kim, great card as always, I am especially impressed with how you have achieved the reflection of sunlight on the water it's really lovely. I'm looking out for this set of stamps when funds allow they are so sweet without being too cutesy (is that a word?), they remind me of when my children were young as well.

ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
what an enchanting card, those two little girls are gorgeous and I love the composition of your card. Did you use a stamp positioner to get the little mound to support the little "spy" girl?
Never fear, I'm never without a highlighter!
And hope your foot is getting better all the time......... keep elevating....
Hugs, Rose

Hi Kim. Beautiful scene, as always your colouring of it is stunning, especially the sea. : ) Yes, it does bring back memories of our children and we are now getting new memories with the granddaughters on the same beaches : ) the eldest grandaughter, when aged 21 months, on seeing the sea and beach for the first time noticed the sand first looked at me and said in wonder "Big sand!" she was so fascinated with it that it took a few mins before she even noticed the sea and her eyes nearly popped out of her head, she said "Water? Big water Granny?" she just could not believe how big it was, we all had tears in our eyes, it was a such a beautiful innocent reaction. I hope the ankle is getting some rest. Take care.
