Today I have a different card using some more of the gorgeous Verse stamps recently launched in Visible Image's massive new stamp launch they recently had.
I hope you are all well, I have had certainly a weird few weeks with loss of Internet ( sorry if anyone emailed as it has been hit or miss to say the least then I had crazy blogger issues that would not upload then hurt my back at work which is causing no end of issues then last week it was migraine week so definitely not been the best of blogging weeks but this week all is behaving and here I am, bear with me and I will catch up with all your emails too and please don't think I'm ignoring anyone it has been challenging for sure.
So this card is quite small for me as I tend to make the larger sizes and this one is around 6x6 inches .
Here is what I finished with .
In right life the colours do pop really nicely and the blades of grass have a highlight side and a shadow side with gold sparkles along each strand as is the strands through the writing on the sentiment.
Several flowers and embellishments finish this simple piece allowing those words be special and speak for themselves.
Here's how to.
I took a piece of card and the brick wall background stamp and stamped it out several times in Aged mahogany distress ink I covered the sheet and then inked the edges too so no white card edges showing. Completely dry with a heat gun or allow the ink to dry next.
Here is the dried result, the wall fits together so well and you can distress it further in places than others simply by inking more in certain sections of the stamp.
Next I took my tall grasses stamps and used the same Aged mahogany ink and stamped the grass several times sometimes tall and sometimes smaller.
I took a white sakura gelly roll pen and used it alone one side of the grass blades which means the other side of the blades need a shadow so a black pen did the trick I also used a gold sparkly pen to add a few just subtle shines not seen in this picture but in a later one.
I added a white mat to this piece which neatened the edges nicely too.
and again a layer of foam and another white mat to finish off the base .
I added foam to the back and added it to the centre of the card .
I embellished the card with several different flowers from my stash and a metal ring carrying relevant to the phrase words and a couple of resin flowers. I added tiny 2mm sparkles to the corners and to the little flower centres in the metal ring and then this piece was finished.
Here is a couple extra photos I was trying to zoom in on the grass but you know how sparkle is difficult to pick up on cam unless it the super super sparkly stuff that blinds ya as you open the pot and angels can be heard humming the A ! Music note in unison... ( well maybe not but to me is what should happen when you open a pot of something special and the light catches it... AaAAAAAAAA) lol.
And of course the star of the show that fantastic sentiment that stamps absolutely Chrystal clear every time and you can see the little flowers I added each side too for a little fun almost like a memorial plaque on a wall for someone very special.
Ok folks here is the very gorgeous Visible Image stamps used for this one.
Tall Grasses.( unfortunately this was reduced and discontinued in April in a massive 50% off sale so I hope you got yours if not you can always uses the edges of any of the Visible image stamps for instance butterfly wings would look fab behind the writing very feint too)
So I hope you enjoyed this little card and it is something fairly simple you could recreate in an hour free in the evening or two. Thanks to all stopping by and I will see you tomorrow for something very very sparkly..
Lots of love to you all
Huge Hugs
