Hearfelt Creations

Hi Crafty folks.

I am typing this as once again I can hear drip drip drip on the grey soaking wet path just outside my window, the guttering's slightly over flowing each minute or so causing the loudest splash onto the plastic recycling bins lined up outside houses along the street. This morning it was frosty and the windows of my car were covered in an icy residue that had to be scraped off like dancing on ice skates as they come to an abrupt stop on the frozen rink. ( should of been a writer , what do you think) haha
( And you thought Dyllusions was a ink spray by Ranger or is that delusion's in my case ... )

Today is A Heartfelt Creations  card post for you and It took an absolute age making the flowers for this one, I tend to make a bunch of them and the leaves at a time because they take so long, In fact putting the card together is much quicker then making the foliage, but anyway here it is.

I have no idea why the leaves look a little yellow on the end as they are green with the tips in the same colour as the flowers so it is odd how the colour looks so different. But anyway, the background has Iced snow around the edges and I died the seam binding cranberry to match the Adirondack Ink I used on the flowers. I have also used several elements from the new February launch of  The Raindrops on Roses collection. The die for the leaves was from The Classic leaves collection and the flowers were made using January's Majestic Morning Collection.

Here is a close up of the layering and the flowers and buds I made and the leaves are much better in this one, you can also see all that gorgeous sparkle in the background which I love.

 Here too.
I decided to keep the bow quite small for this one an add a little burlap thread and one of the Creative Expressions flat backed vintage button too.Nestling behind you will see one of the incredible dies cut in half and a small pearl to match added.

This one shows the buds and leaves a little better and of course the papers.

I really enjoy making these romantic feeling cards and the flowers always look so real and amazing when you shape them as I did using water and inks and shaping them with an embossing tool and foam mat to form them just as Emma Lou Beechy the creative director for Heartfelt Creations does in her You tube videos you can find either on their blog or on their You Tube channels this one shows you hoe tiny make a two layered bud with Vellum and I love it.

I hope you enjoy today's post and are having a great week so far, I can't believe we are at Wednesday already, time flies so quickly these days.

Lots of love

Kim

  7. Hi Kim. Love the card. It is so pretty, just right for Mothers Day. Your flowers are gorgeous, well worth the time they take you to make : ) It is quite bright here at the moment, sorry that it is wet your way. Should you be a writer? Um... not sure about that one, even though your description of the ice on your car is very fancy : ) Can't imagine you sitting there writing day after day. Think you should stick to what you are fantastic at : )) Take care.

  11. Hi Kim
Another stunning creation. I just love this background stamp. Although it isn't really one as it makes a fantastic focal point on a card. I have actually got this stamp and it is beautiful. Love how the iced snow makes the card pop. Sorry it's wet in your neck of the woods. Although your thoughts are good Kim, please keep making cards as your are fantastic at it.

I feel that any stamp can be a focal point or a background stamp if you just get a it clever withit, there are no limits other than your own imagination.Thank you for the comments as always they are apoporeciated. Hugs Kim xx

  12. Hi Kim, this card is stunning. Love the flowers..well worth making. I have been thinking about getting this stamp as it makes a great focal point. My cards take me ages to make as I can only do them in stages and not all at once. I have nerve damage and fibromyalgia in and across both shoulders and unfortunately unable to concentrate for long.

I am so sorry to hear you struggle a little and the pain I get in my back sometimes by sitting in my chair looking down for a long time is extremely sore and I have nothing wrong with my back.
I go in the craft room some nights around 8 ish and I can still be there at 4 a.m and I usually have to photo it and then blog it too. good job I love it.
I wish there was something I could do to help.

  14. Hi Kim. Just a quick post as I wait in out patients for my battery of tests ! What a lovely way to keep myself calm.
An amazing card, soooo pretty. As a skater in my early days, and training at 5am the most beautiful sight I remember as I walked into the rink was pure untouched clean ice with the slight cold mist entwining itself round our legs as we started to 'warm up' our muscles etc before a grulling 4hr training session, those were the best days of my life : )
Hope you all have a better day than Im going to have - yikes : /
    Hugs.

How exciting Steoph you clever girl you.It felt like I was right there reading your description of the cold mists around your ankles. Ive been a couple of times but I have such a damaged tendon I couldnt risk any more ankle injuries.

You are right I love iced snow, a little tip for you though , rub an anti static pad on the paper you are going to catch the glitter in after you tip the exess off as it does get static and sticks to the paper but not if you do this trick.
Ahhh bless you sam, My son is the one with words and I know he will have something published he is very clever with wording things.
      I appreciate your kindness.

  20. What a fabulous card Kim. The Heartfelt Creations stamp is beautiful, and the flowers you have made complement it so well, and the shaping and finishing of the flowers is fantastic. I love the sparkly finish to the background, and there seems to be some on the flowers too. Unfortunately because I have to post about 99% of my cards I cannot make the 3D flowers but they do look so pretty. x

This is a beautiful pattern you are correct , and it stamps so well as do all the stamps I use right now.
on the flowers I used a sakura gold sparkle dust pen and all I did was add a few lines down the flowers t mirror the ones stamped there, Looks great doesn't it look pretty.

  23. Yep Kim, winter's not quite letting go yet. I HATE it being slippery underfoot as I'm always wary of falling down as that would set my knee off again!
Anyway, your card today - it's lovely, not gushing and not overloaded with flowers (which are gorgeous by the way) and the background is just yummy! (Or should I say "backgroundS", as there are quite a few layers. And the bow is cute!
All in all, 11 out of 10!
