Visible Image not Sunday but Monday ...

Hi All my lovelies in blog land.

Good Monday Morning to all.

A huggggggggggggggge thank you to all of you that tuned in to watch the two shows on Saturday and took the time to email in or email me etc etc wow I was very lucky to have so many lovely comments so thank you all from the bottom of my heart, it truly does make all the hours sample making to show off the products worthwhile even if only one of you email its such a special feeling especially when you recognise the name but it is lovely to think all the kind things total strangers say too.
Today I am doing my Visible Image post , all my regulars will know that I usually post this on Sunday but Lovely Helen asked if I'd post Monday just this week so here is my creation for today.

I went for colours a little different but I made a card for my show in these colours and realised how much I love them so I had to use my lovely Visible Image Corset and Fishnet background, bronte border and the lovely sentiment Life the life you've imagined.

The colours I used were
Black soot and fired brick distress inks.
I used bright white card stock and cut myself a rectangle about 6x5 I used my anti static pad all over and took the fishnet background stamp and some versamark embossing ink and stamped just the top section, it does not need to go to low and do not worry bout the edges as we will be covering that part.I used clear embossing powder to emboss the fishnet section onto the card.
I took my inks and started adding them in my usual fashion over the  embossing, Once I was happy with the depth of colour ( the black looks dark blue here but it is definitely black) I then took the bronte border script and the fired brick and added some random stamping here and there. I dried this thoroughly and ran the static pad over again to make sure the next embossing will not stick to the distress ink, as it does if it isn't dried properly.
Next I used my Ivory embossing powder with the versamark and bronte script and added some over the black area and a few parts in the rips in the fishnets above.
Once done I matted it first onto white then black and again white but this white is a real high shine for the last layer but unfortunately the camera doesn't pick it up well.

Next I stamped the gorgeous and a little saucy corset and coloured it in with the same colours used on the card but for the ribbon lacing's I used a Sakura stardust pen and made the whole thing sparkle a little too.
I finished colouring it and Used Sue Wilson's lovely Californian selection basic shape A die to cut out the corset and the larger black mat and I used another die to cut out the sentiment and a mat for it.
Here is a close up so you can see the colouring and how I use a white pen and dots to get highlights in the curves and lace etc.
I added them to the card and finished with varying sizes of flat back pearls in the 2 opposite corners and a black and silver dazzle stone in the other two corners.

Here's another finished look. I hope you like it.Sorry about my thumb in the way , I held it up on the wall behind me ( which is actually cream) .

I really love colouring in images like this , it has lots of open areas so you can spend time and get the shine etc but it isn't too fiddly.
Here are the stamps I used this week.

                                      Bronte Script                                Ripped Fishnet Background

                                       Corset                                               Live the life.

A last look at the finished card then.

Let me know what you think everyone and of course feel free to let me know what you thought about the shows too, If  you haven't seen them yet , you can watch the replays on Create and Craft for about a week before they get taken down so have a look if you want to see what I made, In the meantime over the next week or so I will post the cards and Items I made for the show here and you can have a closer look at all the items.

Have a great day and I look forward to reading you comments.

Lots of love
Hugs

Kim

  4. Morning Kim, Loved your shows, recorded first one (out with hubby) and watched before second one came on. You were so calm and laid back, especially when your glue didn't want to behave haha, I would have been panicking like mad !! I emailed into the second one, but boohoo it didn't get read out. I loved all your demo's and that fabulous 'heart' you gave away, and the cards were stunning.
This card is fantastic, 'trashy' and 'sexy', I really love the ripped fishnets stamp, it is so 'trashy' and gorgeous, and the corset colouring is fantastic, how you have got the 'light and shade', you are genius, and the colours work perfectly. This is 'Sex' on a card, and I 'LOVE' it haha !!!!!
Enjoy your day, weather not too good this week, rain being the dominant weather in this area, yucky.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

I do feel calm on there for some reason i think it is because I love crafting so much it doesnt enter my head to be nervous really. The glue was funny but glad i managed to keep it from being very naughty lol, My own fault im always leaving the lid off lol.I am sorry they didnt read out your email i think that is such a shame as I love to hear them.
I am glad you liked todays slightly risky card lol. I loved colouring this one, all with those same two distress pads just used in different ways.
I saw you won one of sue's gorgeous cards the other day., lucky girl haha

    1. Hi Nana ( you know i have to call you that now) Ahh bless you , while I was off I couldnt get to the hair shop at all and it got so long it was in a ponytail which really does not suit me as it grows out as well as long, I looked awful, I went a week ago and had it all chopped to how I usually have it and of course I came home and re did the greys lol
Glad you liked it, I love it short i must admit. Im a bit quirky and go to a barber to get hair cut cos i find it hard where i live to find a good short hair stylist. I used to do hair most of my working life before i wnded up in nhs so I can be a bit fussy June.
I thank you for your caring kind words and am so thnakful you are here with me, email me anytime my new nana.

I love this card Kim, I don't think I would have been brave enough to use these colours, but they work so well I'm going to give it a try so thanks for the inspiration...also the dotty white highlights work so well on the corset...now where's my stamp wish list?!!....xx

    1. Hi Chris
welcome welcome, lovely to have you here with us, I try to answer as many messages on the blog that I can each posting with the exception when i am prepping for shows as it goes a bit manic lol. Nice to know you saw the shows and I really am pleased you enjoyed them. My fault with the glue, i always leave the lid off lol .Please give it a go with these colours they are bold but they blend really well just remember 2 coats, the first one will look patchy but the 2nd one smooths it all out.. I am always going on about white highlights, it is such a tny thing but has a huge impact.
I have a wishlist too haha
anyway good you stopped by and thank you so much for subscribing.

this is a stunner of a card, right up my street with the colours and composition. Just brilliant, there's not a thing I'd change.
I've started to use your side, side centre technique of shading and it works very well. Thank you for sharing.

  13. This is a really lovely card and such great strong colours too. The basque looks really good on that layered die, and the light coloured embossing with the same stamp in darker inks behind complements it so well. I saw one of your C & C programmes and will try to catch up on the other. You did so well and the demos were great. x
