Today is my day to post for Craftwork cards and They have their own blog so I have a post up today with lots of pictures for this wreath I made. Here is the link if you would like to have a look over there.
I decided to use the gorgeous paper from the Paper floristry kit launched on Create and Craft with our lovely Julie Hickey a while ago now as it is just so pretty and I made lots of flowers to create my wreath with for a Valentine day theme as it is coming soon.
I really enjoyed making all the rolled flowers , I prepped the wreath with gesso and a light pink wash of acrylic paint once the gesso had dried.
A close up of the Snippy flower which is so easy to make, Have you tried these yet?
Another close view
I just cannot believe how quick this year is going already and that Valentines day is already just around the corner so this wreath is my little tribute to it. What do you think?
This was taken before I decided to add my little tassel but the colours look
As usually guys please leave me your comments and let me know what you think of today's project and I will see you all really soon.

Hi Kim. Such a pretty wreath. I wish I had half your talant and ideas, I wouldnt be feeling numb up in the brain area with all the Valentine cards I have to make before next Sunday ! Im litterally having to bang em out 1 after another ! And if you dont have an artistic/creative nature then making so many can be a daunting task, so if you have any pics of Valentine cards, then Id love to see them !

hi Kim
ReplyDeleteLove the wreath, it's absolutely stunning. I've never seem snippy flowers. Is there a tutorial somewhere we can watch, as I'd love to have a go.
Hi Pat
DeleteThe flowers are actually the Lovely Julie from Craftwork cards idea and all you do is cut a strip of paper about and inch wide or bigger if yu want big flowers etc and then snip down one side all the way to the endas even as possible, then add a little tape or glue along the bottom edge and roll up then fold back petals. I will do one this week with pictures for you and you can have a go if you'd like?

Hi Kim
