Fridays post

Hi all
So sorry I missed yesterday's post hmm not sure whats going on but migraine knocked me out again. so I'm adding the last card from the show and another couple of your cards today and I will get our posts sorted this week.
On the show I took on a card that I loved with the colour scheme etc and so I thought I'd re create it but with some different dies and as I ran out of time on the show the word was left off as they were also die cuts so I thought I'd put them on together and see which looks best.

I hope you are all well and have had a good week so far with no men with little or big hammers in your heads haha.

Here's my Joy card.

The crackled background was created using the new Potting Soil Wendy Vechi archival ink colour and salty ocean distress ink .
Now here is the one I did on the show

                                                                       And together.
I think I was a little heavier handed with the one on the show and the Salty Ocean , I guess it just depends what your into as to which would be your thing, although this one is showing the embossing from the Just Rite background more as it was embossed with True white embossing powder.

Inspired by
In this section I get to show some of your wonderful cards that you have sent to me saying you had been inspired by something you saw on the blog and I am proudly displaying them here for you all to enjoy as much as I do.

First up is Sue B.
She sent me a few of her wonderful cards and so here I added just two and I am sure the eagle eyed among you will know exactly which of my cards were the ones Inspired by.

Aren't they great , well done Sue.
Here are the ones I did.
 Taylored Expressions, discover your wings.
And this one you saw just the other day .

Next up I have a couple of cards by Carol Clarke
She also sent me some gorgeous makes and I am proud to show them here.

Isn't this gorgeous well done Carol.

And carol saw I used a die with corners which she didn't have so she cut up her die into four and used them in the corners, very clever Carol and that is the best way to look at dies so that you can see what else you can make with them.

These were my cards.

 Visible Image stamps here.

This of course was the gorgeous black eyed Susan again and a the gorgeous background die being spellbinders to make he frame.

Well that's it for today guys before my eyes start to go again, Have a wonderful Friday and I will see you back here very soon.

Keep the cards coming and I look forward to our chats later.

Hugs

Kim

  4. Hi Kim. Great cards today.I prefer the first one for the die shape but he second for the depth of Salty Ocean! Well done to Sue B and Carol Clarke. It is lovely to see your work : ) Sorry to hear you are suffering at the moment Kim. You have my sympathy. Make sure you eat regular snacks/meals and drink lots (no, not alcohol : ) of water. Have you had your eyes and your blood pressure tested lately? Both can cause awful headaches or migraines. I hope you have a great weekend Take care.

    1. Hi Mrs B.The first die was Imperial gold labels 4 and I love that shape too. Thanks for your kind support re migraines. I dont drink alcohol at all now for three years as it makes my head worse. Eyes and Bp fine. It is side effects form heavy medication taken for torn tendon in ankle. I have now to have an operation but im looking forward to less migraines from being able to get rid of the meds. Thanks again

  5. Hi Kim, sorry to hear you've been suffering with migraines. I get them from time to time & it takes a good few days for my head to get back to 'normal' ! Very frustrating when you have lots of ideas for crafting projects you need to complete!. Both of your cards are lovely but I think I like the second the most as it has the stronger colour of the salty ocean. The 'Inspired by' cards are lovely, well done ladies! Look forward to seeing more :)

  19. Hi Kim,
So sorry to hear you've had migraine, I used to have them virtually every month for 3 days and basically couldn't do anything, even breathing seemed to cause even more pain. Eventually my doctor hit on the right medicine to give me but I had to take it BEFORE any onset, so it was a bit hit and miss! Anyway, once I hit the menopause - BLISS, HEAVEN,MIRACLE.... they stopped!
Back to your cards - I like both of the ones you did. I prefer the die shape of the first card (with the word), but colours are spot on as per usual.
Well done Sue and Carol, for your cards, they are beautiful.
    Hugs, Rose
