Show cards.

Hi Everyone

Welcome to the new followers or blogglies as we are now calling us all lol (cross between bloggers and lovelies haha) a word that dropped onto my tongue last week haha. ( bit like dribble ) lol

I thought Id show a card from the recent show or 2  as I know you don't get much of a look on air.
I am off to hospital today to have the ankle checked so I though you may enjoy these. Both these cards on today's twofer were the demo's from the show too.

This one had a coating of clear embossing powder on the scissors and thimble  etc. The one on the show I left Matt.
A little close up on the fab scissors with the tiny little flowers etc., You can also see the texture on the paper etc which is lovely.
The lovely sentiments to fit with the sewing theme went so well too.
And of course the ribbon rose made from the crochet Ribbon in white.

The 2nd card I demo'd.
I love this (my fav colour mix at the moment of course.
This was the one I cut the die to make a square from a rectangle and you can see the gorgeous Sewing machine die cut.
In this picture you can see the lovely sentiment a couple of homemade stick pins and the rest of the die cuts.

I hope you liked them both, I haven't done full tutorials for these two as you saw me do them on the show but of course if you would like a break down let me know.

Have a great Tuesday and I will see you soon.

Hugs

Thank you's.

Good Morning my lovely crafting Buddies.

A huge thank you to all you guys from me with big old hugs attached.
So many of you emailed in with your support and I really appreciate that lovlies. I had a real blast with the lovely Stephanie and she is a beautiful warm and helpful lady. Then I got to meet gorgeous Leonie and had a blast with her with our challenge show too, she is a great gal too and I loved the demoing so all in all what a great day, I realise the demos need to speed up I dont want you all dropping off on me haha.
Today sees the last chance to leave comments for my competition too as I will be using Mr Random.org at around 6 tonight to choose a winner to send those gorgeous goodies to.

I thought I'd start to show some of the samples from the show so you see them a little closer.

 Sunnier days.
You can see the crackle background again here
Lots of layers                                                                            I really enjoyed doing this one as I think the cheery colours make you feel a little like the sun is  on its way eventually even if if feels like everywhere covered in muddy water at the moment.

This one Is the one I double used the masks which always looks quite complicated but is so very easy.

I love the muted colours and composition here being clean and simple , sometimes a tiny bit of ink is enough.

A close up of the embossing details , I used the enchanted gold wax in the background over the Script mask and then used the butterflies and flowers mask over the top of that. Of course that gorgeous Ribbon on the show is used a lot in all these samples and this one is proudly displaying the Rose coloured ribbon.
I thought I would spend a few minutes answering any questions you wrote in and asked but we didn't get given to answer on the show via emails.
Sylvia Minter from Norwich asked if The masks come in a larger size for instance 8x8, well Sylvia they do a range of A4 sized masks below is a link to the ones I found on the Creative Expressions website if you ever need to look
A4 masks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Leonie in Wetherby said she was distracted by my bracelet cos she wanted one haha during the demos, well Leonie my gorgeous daughter bought me it as part of my Christmas prezzie and it certainly is a sparkly one. I don't know where she got it I'm afraid but will ask                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Hilary in Harrogate had some poorly grandkids with her and thought I could say hello and wish them better, which I would have of course if they had been given to me so Emilia and Callum who are just 3 & 6 I wish you get better quickly and hope you had a lovely day with nanna, who I hope does not get your illness too.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Denise In Leichester asked what card I was using on the show and will the Couture Creations fit into The Big Shot machine.                                                                                                                               The card stock I use is always Creative Expressions Foundation card which I use all the time for everything as it is uncoated so inking is perfect on it but it is also lovely to mat and layer with as the weight is between 210 and 240 dpi depending on the  colour. The coconut white and the plum and the soft gold are my all time firm favourites. But I just love them all, the teal is a great one too. The embossing folder is yes absolutely it will fit in the big shot.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       I had so many emails from you all which you don't see on air but I have a huge bundle and they all say welcome and they are enjoying the shows, also that I am different and that I inspire them all with my relaxed demos to want to try to use their inks so much more and realise you do not need to be scared to try and give it all ago, "nothing ventured, nothing gained " as the saying goes.
You all also say that you feel Creative Expressions and me with my style will be a perfect union and you all can't wait to see more of my demos and that you loved that I did the challenge during Leonies show and what an absolute different idea. Well I had lots of demos prepped and different cards to make and I really enjoyed doing some of them in the mornings shows  and had several more to do in the afternoon but Ireally just wanted to 'wing it' pardon the pun. So I asked Leonie and the producer what they thought and they agreed yay... And what you all saw was totally real I had absolutely no idea at all what was coming and I loved that , I think I was a little slow but it will all get better with time, what do you all think?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Carol won that card , I'd of liked to have added some pearls and glitter etc which would've made it just that bit more special but I will be doing lots of card give aways on the blog from today on so everyone will have more chances of seeing some originals which have taken a little longer to make up.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Regarding some videos that I want to start doing for you all , I have a tripod finally on its way to me so that should start the process as I need my hands of course to make for you.
Thank you again to all the ladies that come on and check the blog every single day for new inspiration and who emailed into the show and are sticking firmly with me on this journey I will  be back later with the winners of my competition so Have a great day.
For those of you wondering , I have had a mega problem with blogger playing up today and not lining things up correctly etc so if it a little squiffy I am so sorry.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Lots of love                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Kim                                                                                              XXXX

Visible Image Sunday

Hi Everyone

Today is my day to post for Visible image so I have done a very quick card as this week I have been a little on the crazy busy side with arty stuffs.
I hope you like it but it is a little less inky than usual, see what you think?

I used the Beauty is Art set and I love it.
  • I started by stamping the main image in black archival ink on a rectangle cut from a spellbinder rectangle that I inked and embossed with clear embossing powder he word beauty and used faded jeans Distress ink over it.
  • I took a larger piece of card and stamped thew words in faded jeans all around, I then cut a frame out from the dies and mounted that on foam about the artwork. I cut a flower from felt and added a pearl and some dazzlers to the frame.
  • Lastly I cut a small oval, stamped the art word and added some metal legless brads to it and stuck it to the top of the frame, with a bow added with the flower to the bottom left.
Told you it was a quick one.
The reason is that today is my debut on Create and craft TV. I am on the tool shed with the fabulous Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions at 12-2pm and then again for another hour at 5pm.  I hope you can stop by and check out how it goes or even email in to the show at Studio@createand craft.TV to win a card made either by sue or me.
Thank you to everyone sending me their support and love  on facebook etc and I hope you will say hi during the show.
Welcome to all the new guys joining the blog too and yayy only a few more and it will be competition time wooo hoo.
here's some more pics of my card.

Have a great Sunday all and come and see me on the Tele box...

Die'sire Sneaky peak DT pieces.

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well. As you know I had the opportunity to become part of the Die'sire Design team and have been working hard to get the samples finished for next weeks show. I can now show you some sneaky peaks and say that the Fabulous Leann from Crafter's companion will be launching this lovely collection on Ideal world as the Pick of the day at 9pm and again 11pm on the 20th of March , then it will be through out the day on Ideal world and Create and craft.
Here is the first sneaky
This little box was made using the Perfect Paisley Embossing folder and also the Die'sire Camelia quilling flower it also has the Dahlia quilling flower and the Leaf 1 die on here too.
I added lots of lovely ribbon and a gorgeous sentiment to it and voila... My little box is complete.

The next item I would like to feature today is an Altered Art project which I am very happy with and  wanted to keep haha...

I love the techniques used in this Project with the acrylic paints and the crackle medium and the gold waxing.
All the flowers are again using the  gorgeous new Die'sire Die's all coming next week again here is the Camellia die in Large and Small and Dahlia die, I've used the Stamen die plus The Leaf 1 die.

If you would like to know how to do any of the techniques here leave me a comment and I Will do a tutorial blog, this post is really just to give you a sneak at the gorgeous products coming next week and hope you will support me by tuning in at some point on the 20th.

My last Item today is a card hope you like it.

I love the colours here. This 8X8 card features The gorgeous papers of Craftwork Cards but has of course the Die'sire Range featured throughout.
This time I have used The lace flower Die but I have also used the negative side to the Die (so where The Lace flower is cut from on the paper the other side )
I have also used the Dahlia quill die to cut the black ribbon flowers and the Leaf 1 Die to cut pink and green leaves that are also stamped.
Lots of embossing with a Sheena Douglas stamp also featured on The Crafter's companion website.
I will be back tomorrow with more creations using this brilliant collection , I was so very pleased to get them all posted today and I hope you look forward to seeing them all go live on the 20th
Ideal world and the 21st on Create and Craft through out the day .

Crafty hugs and Best wishes

Kim xxxx
